Well. I am spending my last night in the US tonight. weird feeling. never thought I would be moving half way across the world. I am so excited but every time I think how far I really will be I get a pinch of nervousness. The past few days I have been in San Diego seeing long lost family & building stronger relationships. I have loved the warm sunshine on my skin and the smell of the ocean. Can't wait to live so close to the ocean for the first time in my life!
I want to thank my whole family for supporting me because I know this would be that much harder if they were not behind me 100%. This has not been easy as I have strengthened so many relationships the past 5 months but I know that they will only get stronger with the distance. Mom, I love you and can't wait to see you when you come to Australia. Keep your head up I don't want you to shed a single tear!!
Well I guess the next time I will post will be me in Australia!!

L-town
Hey hey.
So after the crazy but fun Thanksgiving with my family I am making my last trip to Lincoln to see my bestest friends of all Lauren, Megan & Katie. Even tho we live so far away I dont know what I would do without them. They are amazing & are a huge part of who I am now. Plans for the weekend.... Laugh, Cook && Drink some wine : )
I leave in 24 days. I CANT BELIEVE IT! Australia better get ready for me. My family is getting excited too as my "mum" is getting a grocery list together of things I eat! They are so amazing and cant wait to start a relationship with them!!

Less then 2 months
Hello from Kansas City. There is less then 2 months until I depart the country and head for the beautiful Melbourne Australia. Let me tell you a little bit about the people who will be my family for the 6 months while I am there.
The dad is from England and works for the Australian Government (better not get in any trouble : )) The mom is from South America and moved to Melbourne when she was a child. Her parents live 20 minutes from us. I can not wait to hear all their stories and adventures! She works for a book publishing company in the HR department. Their girls are so precious and fragile. Their 5 year old is so sweet and is such a princess as all little girls should be. February she will be attending preschool! Their new addition to the family is 1 year old and is growing up so fast. She and I will be spending lots of time together exploring. They got us a zoo pass so I will definitely be going once a week! They have two energetic dogs that romp around their large back yard. Their basement will be my "apartment" as I have my own entrance, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom. The mother of the house is taking the task of decorating and making my living space my home. I can not wait to see what she has done! I think everyday how lucky I am and how blessed I am that God has chosen this path for me and given me this learning experience at this time in my life. There are so many things to see and to learn about who I am in this next journey of my life. I am thankful for all the support of my family and friends. There will be a lot of skyping going on even if I am 15 hours ahead of everyone! I am glad to whoever reads this that you can experience a little bit of Australia through my eyes : )
